Private label subsidiary of a major independent food retailer

Project background 

 

In order to maintain the operational momentum that is such a strong part of its DNA, the subsidiary's General Management is looking into its transformation:

 

  • How do you negotiate the " Digital bend"?
  • How can you work more closely with suppliers to secure the quality of information and supplies?
  • How can we simplify the work of our employees?

 

To help it take a step back and structure its business, it called onUnivers Retail , which proposed an Information System Master Plan-type approach.

Our approach

 

The approach was deployed in 4 major stages:

 

  • Inventory and analysis of existing situation through interviews
  • Building a vision of the target IS during a seminar
  • Choice of scenario and trajectory to achieve the target vision following co-construction workshops
  • Feedback and sharing of findings with branch members

 

Each stage, the fruit of a confrontation of ideas, is the subject of deliverables that enable us to check that they are in line with the issues at stake.

Our results  

 

In the space of 3 months, the subsidiary went from a simple perception of the need for change to a clear, shared target vision, backed up by an initial implementation trajectory combining preparatory work and quick wins.

 

Once the Master Plan guidelines have been validated, it is now possible to frame and launch the transformation program.
