Setting up a PLM system
Sector of activity
Major generalist retailer
Project background
The retailer wanted to decommission the core component of its information system in favor of a market solution better suited to all its business needs. The module covers product lifecycle management, from design and technical development, through manufacturing and procurement, to disposal. The tool will be shared by numerous business contributors (product manager, quality, offer marketing, purchasing, etc.), and will interact with the customer's other IS modules.
With this project, the customer is also looking to increase harmonization, automation and data quality.

Approach / Results
Our approach
End-to-end customer support, from expression of need through to deployment of the chosen solution:
- Project framing and drafting of specifications :
- extensive immersion through interviews, workshops, "Vis ma vie" days, and an exhaustive collection of needs and irritants
- process and interface modeling
- Project management, integrating all data transfer and solution implementation issues (acceptance specifications, writing specifications, testing with key users, managing changeover schedules....).
- Solution deployment support
Our results
The company has switched over to the new tool, which has enabled it to harmonize processes and data collection, thanks to the introduction of various libraries. For example, modules on sizes and materials have facilitated product design. The image library has been a strong point in managing the company's digital transformation.
Interfacing with other information systems (ERP, MDM....) has simplified interactions, particularly for exchanges between this new PLM and the tool in charge of defining the offer.
Finally, the solution has optimized collaboration with suppliers, particularly in terms of quality, with traceability of sample management and the various validation stages, as well as the integration of all legal consumer information data.
