Project background 

 

To support the transformation of the Inventory and Supply Management team at both operational and strategic levels, the French subsidiary called on Univers Retail to :

 

  • Operational management of the supply and inventory team: ensuring product availability and developing relations with internal customers.
  • Frame and define inventory strategy: implement structuring projects for supply management and logistics planning, analyze costs to optimize inventory, and draw up functional requirements with the IT Department to develop solutions supporting business processes. 
  • Transform the existing team: in close collaboration with General Management, define the medium-term strategy for the Supply & Inventory team, set up the target organization and support the team's skills development to achieve its strategic ambitions.

Our approach

 

To meet the customer's needs, we deployed the following methodological approach:

 

  • Analysis and diagnosis of the existing situation.
  • Definition of a strategic roadmap based on two axes: anoperational axis, concrete, leading to rapid results and enabling the improvement of the day-to-day mission of the Supply and Inventory department. A longer-term strategic axis, based on the overhaul of the team's processes and missions, and its business approach through professionalization.
